When will the position start?
We anticipate that the position will have a start date around 4/1/2018, but at this time we are somewhat flexible.
Is the position full time?
Yes, the position is full time (40hrs/week) and includes full benefits (standard UC package). You will be working on the UC Santa Barbara campus.

What are the expected requirements of the position?
You will have to be an AAUS diver, or be qualified to become one, have some experience in a laboratory setting, and have a willingness to learn new field and laboratory techniques. Previous experience with marine ecology, physiology, laboratory assays, or UAV/UUV operation is beneficial but not required.
What does the position pay?
Pay will depend on experience, but know that it is competitive. More info on this when the position is formally announced.
Will I have the ability to actively pursue and lead scientific research?
Absolutely. I expect there to be many tangental projects to the main MARINER project. This position could be a great launching point into a MSc or PhD.
